sport.Fr/Hockey. Double Olympic champion Boris Mayorov has explained why Vladislav Tretyak was re-elected president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (FHR).

Tretyak has been the head of the FHR since April 25, 2006, in the current elections he was the only candidate for this post.

“Why doesn’t Tretyak have an alternative to elections? Being president of FHR means you’re constantly in the public eye. After all, you need to gain authority in society, bring understandable ideas to hockey that will be supported by others. I don’t see such people in our hockey environment today,” Mayorov told Match TV.
