Athletistic/Hockey. The Sports and Disciplinary Commission of the Moscow Ice Hockey Federation (FHM) announced the indefinite suspension of the player of the amateur team of the Leopards Nikolai Rizin for beating the referee.

“According to the results of the meeting, it was decided to permanently withdraw Nikolai Rizin from all competitions organized by the Moscow Ice Hockey Federation,” the statement read.

The incident happened midway through the second period of the Antares Division game between the Leopards and Revol Ice. Hosts defender Nikolai Rizin, unhappy with the referee’s decision, hit him with a backhand with a club and several blows with a skate, as a result of which the referee suffered bruises on his neck.
