Member of Russian Hockey Federation (FHR) Valery Kamensky called forward Alexander Ovechkin’s great achievement in NHL road goals.
In a game against Vancouver (5-1), Ovechkin scored twice. He now has 403 goals in away games, surpassing Wayne Gretzky’s record of 402 and setting an NHL record for that number.
– Alexander really plays better on the road than at home. His record is a great achievement in the NHL and world hockey. Ovechkin will take part in the goalscorers’ race and this is not even discussed, he takes part in it every year. Hockey is a team game and let’s hope Alexander catches up with his rivals,” RBC Sport Kamensky quotes.
