“I was just trying to play my game” – Kaprizov on club record in Edmonton game

Forward “Minnesota” Kirill Kaprizov talked about the NHL regular season game with Edmonton, in which he managed to extend the scoring streak.

The match in St. Paul ended 5-3 in favor of the hosts, Kaprizov scored one goal and two assists. The 25-year-old striker picked up points for his performance in the tenth game in a row (6 goals, 11 assists) and also updated the club record for the longest assist streak (9 games).

“I was just trying to play my game. That’s all. It’s good that the team won, everyone played hard and powerful. We didn’t allow the opponent to create many chances , we played well, – the NHL website quotes Kaprizov.

Minnesota head coach Dean Evason said the team needs a multi-game winning streak.

“We can’t just play a good game and then make mistakes, lose the puck and give our opponents a chance. We must continue to do what we are doing, win victories, – said Evason.

Minnesota is eighth in the NHL Western Conference with 24 points in 22 games. On December 3, the Wild will face Anaheim at home.
