Shakhraichuk called up 28 hockey players to the Ukrainian national team to prepare for the December Eurochallenge

The team will hold a training camp in Kyiv, and then go to Marseille

Team head coach Ukraine Vadym Shakhraychuk announced the names of the players who will take part in training campand then in the Eurochallenge in December.

In total, 28 hockey players were called up to the national team. The players will hold a five-day gathering at the Kiev Sports Palace, after which the coaching staff will determine the most prepared at the moment. These hockey players will join other legionnaires and together form the team.

The composition of the Ukrainian national team for the December training camp:

Goalkeepers: Eduard Zakharchenko (Dnipro), Bogdan Dyachenko (Kharkiv Berserkers), Kirill Kucher (Kremenchug);

Defenders: Denis Matusevich, Gleb Varava, Dmitry Ignatenko (all from Kremenchuk), Artem Grebenik, Evgeniy Ratushny (both from Dnipro), Andrey Grigoriev (Sokol), Filipp Pangelov-Yuldashev (Uniya, Poland), Vitaly Andreikov (Zaglebie, Poland), Alexander Alexandrov (Podhale, Poland);

forwardsPeople: Vadim Mazur, Vasily-Yuriy Kachan (both Sokol), Vitaly Lyalka, Gleb Krivoshapkin, Ilya Senik (all from Kremenchuk), Denis Boroday, Artem Tselogorodtsev, Dmitry Poperezhay, Danilo Tishchenko, Nikita Lesnikov (all from Dnipro), Ilya Korenchuk (Energa, Poland), Dmitry Nimenko (Briason, France), Alexander Peresunko (Uypest, Hungary), Alexey Vorona (Podhale, Poland), Nazar Ruzhnikov, Yaroslav Panchenko (both – Energia, Lithuania), Mikhail Guft-Sokolov (Gechstadter, Germany).

Vasily-Yuriy Kachan, Dmitry Poperezhay, Daniil Tishchenko and Nikita Lesnikov will make their debut in the national team. The coaches decided not to call the team captain Andrei Mikhnov, as well as defenders Vsevolod Tolstushko and Igor Merezhko, who have a busy calendar at the clubs, to the training camp.

The collection will begin on December 7 in Kyiv. On December 13, already selected players will gather in Krakow, from where they will go to Marseille. As part of the Eurochallenge, Shakhraichuk’s team will play against the French (December 15) and the Poles (December 16). Another match – on December 14 against the French team – will have the status of a sociable one.
