Russian defender “Vegas” Daniel Miromanov who plays for the Henderson Farm Club in the AHL, noted that this year he’s in the team manager role.
– You are the second sniper and the second scorer in the team. Are you satisfied with your game?
“It’s important for me to score points. Every year the AHL team gets younger, new guys come in from the CHL and colleges. I have a leadership role this year. I help guys, including Russians. I’m the defender of the attack plan, so I need to disperse attacks and create. At the same time, we must not forget about our main task – to competently defend in our area and go on the attack correctly.
Are you allowed to gamble a lot? Do you take the majority?
– I don’t measure my average playing time, but I review all my shifts after games. I go out “five by five”, in majority, in minority. I play a lot.
– At the start of the season, you had three games without points. Entered the season after an injury?
– In the first game, I had two assists, then I sank a little, I got back into shape. I was originally supposed to return on November 15, but it turned out that I recovered from the operation a month earlier, having only missed the first three games of the regular season. Now I can say that I have reached the top of my form, I feel good,” Sport24 Miromanov quotes.
In total, 25-year-old Miromanov has 12 games in NHL in which he provided an assist. In the AHL this season, the defenseman has played 17 games and scored 13 (6+7) points.
