Athletistic/Hockey. Honored Russia coach Rafail Ishmatov has backed tightening the limit of foreign players in the KHL starting next season.

“I am in favor of reducing the limit for foreign players. It makes sense. There are a lot of our staff, there are coaches, decent conditions have been created. I understand that there are people who want to see foreign players. But we are not to blame for this situation, it was in the West that the hockey union between Europe, North America and Russia was destroyed,” Ishmatov told RB Sport.

Previously, the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation approved a tightening of the limit of legionnaires in the KHL.
