The Ukrainian U-20 team defeated Italy in the opening match of the 2022 Hockey World Championship

The key in the meeting was the second period, in which Bobkin’s wards scored three times

National team of Ukraine U-20 crushed Italy at the youth World Cup 2022 in hockey in division 1B – 4:0.

The first period passed with the advantage of the team of Alexander Bobkin, but without goals. The Ukrainians made a decisive breakthrough in the second twenty-minute period – Bogdan Panasenko, Nikita Sidorenko and Daniil Trakht distinguished themselves. In the final period, Mikhail Kovalchuk set the final score.

The Ukrainian youth team made 35 shots at the opponents’ goal. The Italians were only able to threaten the gates of Savva Serdyuk 11 times.

In the second match of the 2022 U-20 World Cup, Ukraine will play with the hosts of the tournament, Poland on December 12. The Poles in the first match in overtime pulled out a victory over Estonia (4:3).
