“Neftekhimik” sets himself the task of observing the lower limit of the salary bill in the KHL, which for the 2022/23 season is 315 million rubles, said the general director of the hockey club Igor Larionov.
– Our task is to meet half of the salaries, we do not think about the ceiling. Who is out of sex? Two Western Conference clubs fail. We are fine, but we understand that it may not be enough to compete with top clubs,” Larionov told Metaratings.ru.
It was originally planned that in the 2022/23 season the KHL salary floor would increase from 315 to 405 million rubles, but due to the economic situation these plans had to be abandoned.
Neftekhimik has 35 points in 39 games and is 10th in the KHL Eastern Conference.
