Forward “Washington” Ovechkin scored a hat trick in a 7-3 away game against Chicago on Tuesday. The 37-year-old Russian ranks third in the league’s all-time top scorer list (800 goals), behind Gordie Howe (801) and Wayne Gretzky (894).
Ovi is the third hockey player in league history to score 800 NHL goals. Our boy! We are proud! – says the message in the Telegram channel of “white and blue”.
Ovechkin played for the Dynamo in 2001-2005 and during the NHL lockout in the 2012/13 season.
In total, in the regular NHL championships, the Russian striker played 1305 games, scored 1444 points (800 goals + 644 assists).
