The meeting in Las Vegas ended with the score 5:2 in favor of the guests. Russian goalkeeper “Islanders” Semyon Varlamov parried 35 shots and was recognized as the game’s first star.

The Islanders snapped a three-game losing streak. The next game the New York team will play on the road with Colorado on Dec. 19, Vegas will host Buffalo the same day.

The Islanders are eighth in the Eastern Conference with 37 points in 32 games, while Vegas leads the West with 45 points in 33 games.
