Minnesota Wild Russian striker Kirill Kaprizov who in the game against Ottawa (4-2) reached the bar of 200 points scored in the NHL, commented on his success for journalists.
It took 167 games for Kaprizov to reach the 200 point mark. The Russian broke the club record for fastest time to reach the 200-point mark. Before that, the fastest Wild player to score that many points was Bryan Rolston (he needed 239 games).
– Guys, you don’t let me forget how many goals I scored or not. For me, the most important thing is that the victories take precedence over the defeats. It’s my job to go out there, play and do my best. And you have to make these comparisons and assumptions, – the official NHL website quotes Kaprizov.
Among active players, three hockey players scored 200 points faster than Kaprizov. They are Sidney Crosby (142), Alexander Ovechkin (165) and Evgeni Malkin (166).
Kaprizov, who scored the puck and had two assists in the game with Ottawa, was recognized as the game’s best player. In total, the 25-year-old hockey player has 201 (93 + 108) points in the NHL.
