Defender “Columbus” Gavrikov can move to “Edmonton” – media

NHL club’s Russian defenseman Columbus Blue Jackets Vladislav Gavrikov is in the interest of the Edmonton Oilers, according to Sportsnet insider Elliott Friedman.

Gavrikov is another defenseman on Edmonton’s radar. But if you look at how much Columbus got for David Savard and Montreal got for Ben Chiaro, you will realize that the price will be high,” the journalist wrote.

Gavrikov is 27 years old and has been playing for Columbus since 2019. In November 2020, the hockey player signed a new three-year contract with the club for $8.4 million. This season, he has played 32 games, scored nine points (2 goals and 7 assists). In total, Gavrikov played 236 NHL games and had 72 points (14+58).

Columbus is bottom of the NHL Eastern Conference table.
