Head Coach Severstal Andrei Razin laughed at a question about how he felt after hitting the puck on the head, saying he’d look better with a scar.
On Saturday, Severstal defeated Minsk Dynamo (4:0) in the Fonbet home match of the KHL Championship. In one of the episodes, the puck hit Razin’s face after a rebound. The remaining time of the match, the coach led the team, sealing the cut under the right eye with a bandage.
“We played with a direct contender, scored in the majority, then held on in the third period, catching a lot of pucks,” Razin said. – In general, we pleased the fans, there were many of them today.
– You also received a puck in the head during the match. How are you? How severe is the cut?
– Now the doctors will look, maybe we can sew. Even though I’ll be beautiful on New Year’s Eve, with a scar. And then I grew up here.
Severstal currently sits ninth in the KHL Western Conference standings. After today’s win, the Cherepovets tied the Minskers on points, who sit in marginal eighth place in the playoff zone.
