Athletistic/Hockey. Former Match TV commentator Alexander Shmurnov believes Russian Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin will never achieve the greatness of Canadian hockey player Wayne Gretzky.

“Ovechkin rolls into an empty net. He’s a very good hockey player, but after these goals people say, ‘Wow, a record, now he’s going to beat Gretzky. won’t come near Pele,” Shmurnov quoted Sports.ru.

At the moment, 37-year-old Ovechkin has 802 goals, only Gretzky is ahead of him, who scored 894 goals.
