Former defender of “Tractor” Oleg Piganovitch told RB Sport his impressions of the club’s anniversary celebration and summed up his career.
On December 27, the Traktor Ice Arena hosted a celebratory game in honor of the club’s 75th anniversary, which was played by famous hockey players of recent years.
During his career, Piganovich played for Traktor, Spartak, Amur, Avangard, Donbass, Torpedo, Neftekhimik, Sibir and Kunlun.
– It’s cool that such an event was held in Chelyabinsk. I haven’t seen many guys in a long time. Congratulations to the organizers for bringing everyone together. Some positive emotions.
– Already officially retired?
I haven’t played for two and a half years. Although now, maybe someone has seen how I play, and will say, you have to take it. (Laughs.)
– What are you doing now?
– I work with the child, he has a background. I remember from my childhood, how I went through all this myself. He’s still small, you have to bring him to class, suggest something. I have it all in hockey and I also move with it.
– Do you miss professional matches, such an atmosphere?
— Thanks to events like the Match of Generations, nostalgia is felt. But everyone comes to the end of a career – someone sooner, someone later. I did it like this. Something to regret, life goes on, you have to move on.
Are you satisfied with your career?
“You always want to be better. But I’m happy with everything, everything is fine. The most important thing is that health, pah-pah-pah, is normal. There were no particularly serious injuries. What’s there to complain about in life?
