Striker “Sochi” Matvey Michkov recalled how he was injured after a powerful reception by a defender Alexei Emelin before the start of the KHL Fonbet Championship regular season.
Michkov was injured in early August during a match between the national team of young Russian stars and Dynamo Minsk (3-5). After a collision with Yemelin, who played for the Belarusian team, the striker left the site. Michkov returned to training in late August.
– What did you learn from Alexei Emelin’s power move that you missed in the “pre-season”?
– It was game time. You have to be ready for anything. Well, yes, he did. We move on. Injuries are always unpleasant, but I try to learn from everything. I figured out how not to play. I try to improve all my skills, to be smarter, – Sport24 quotes 18-year-old Michkov.
