Athletic journalists named the captain “Edmonton Oilers” Connor McDavid the best forward in the NHL this season.
– Who else is he if not the best player in the world? He didn’t win the 2022 Hart Trophy, he didn’t win the Conn Smythe Trophy, but for all of 2022, it was McDavid who brought the most value to his team. He has 164 points in 96 games.
In the playoffs, he showed an unprecedented level of value. It took him just seven playoff games to approve the claim that the crown of “best player in the world” belongs to him, the newspaper notes.
McDavid has 31 goals and 40 assists this season.
