President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (FHR) Vladislav Tretyak wished the Russian striker “Washington Capitals” Alexander Ovechkin become the all-time leading scorer in the National Hockey League (NHL).
“Washington” defeated “Montreal” in Saturday’s championship match with the score 9:2. Ovechkin had a hat trick, scoring the 804th, 805th and 806th regular season goals. The Russian striker in this indicator is just behind Wayne Gretzky (894).
– It’s very hard to get a hat trick – especially in the NHL. I would like to wish Ovechkin good health and keep going to see Gretzky’s record. Well done, let each game be charged for one goal, – quotes Tretiak “Championship”.
Ovechkin, 37, has 45 points (26 goals and 19 assists) in 39 games this season.
