Russian national hockey team head coach Alexei Zhamnov told Metaratings.ru that he does not watch World Youth Championship matches, but monitors the results.
– In the new year, I wish Russian hockey a quick return to the international arena. Am I planning to attend KHL games during the holidays? On vacation, unfortunately, I will not be present in Moscow. As for the ongoing World Youth Championship, I only follow the results, I don’t watch the matches themselves,” said Zhamnov.
Previously, the Russian national team was suspended from participation in international tournaments by decision of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). At the same time, at the organization’s congress in September, it was decided that the Russian team will play in the elite division of the World Cup after the lifting of sanctions.
