Olympic ice hockey champion Sergei Bautin died at the age of 56 after a long illness, reports the press service of Dynamo Moscow.
A student of hockey from Murmansk Bautin in the Moscow “Dynamo” twice became the champion of the country. In 1992, Bautin, as part of the CIS team, won the Olympic Games in Albertville.

In 1992 he became an Honorary Master of Sports, and in 2014 he was inducted into the National Hockey Hall of Fame.
