Ukrainian hockey players lost to the University of Calgary
Student national ice hockey team of Ukraine (U25) lost in test match University of Calgary – 1:3.
Vadim Shakhraichuk’s team played their second match during the Hockey Can’t Stop Tour and lost again. The tour takes place as part of the preparation of our team for the Universiade 2023 in Lake Placid (USA).
Ukrainian hockey players fought on equal terms with the leader of the Western division of the student championship of Canada and even led after Mikhail Simchuk’s puck. Decisive were the two goals of the hosts in the second period, which decided the outcome of the match.
Recall that in the first test match Ukraine lost to the University of Saskatchewan – 0:2.
In the next match on January 5, Ukraine will play against the University of Alberta. The Winter Universiade 2023 starts on January 11.
