Top scorer in NHL history Wayne Gretzky compared the Russian striker “Washington” Alexandra Ovechkina with former hockey players Mike Bossy and Brett Hull.
“Mike Bossy, Brett Hull, they’re the two best goalscorers I’ve ever seen. One of the things they and Ovechkin have in common is that they don’t miss very often. They knew how to find open space If there’s free space on the ice, either you feel it and know how to find it, or you don’t. Alex definitely feels it, – the NHL press service quotes Gretzky.
In the regular season game with Buffalo (4:5 OT), Ovechkin scored twice, scoring his 807th and 808th NHL goals. Before Gretzky’s record (894), the Russian has 86 goals to score.
