Athletistic/Hockey. “Vanguard” forward Sergei Tolchinsky spoke about his first encounter on the ice with Alexander Ovechkin.

“Then I had my first friendly game for the Carolinas and played with Washington. I watched Ovechkin the whole warm-up and couldn’t believe I’d be playing him now. I just came out in position against him – he’s on the left, I’m on the right. On the throw-in, we look at each other, I think, now he’s going to come up to congratulate me, and he stuck the stick in the rib and I went to the quarter of work. Later he tried to catch me on his knee in overtime,” Tolchinsky said.

Sergei Tolchinsky has been playing overseas since 2013, playing for the Charlotte Checkers and Carolina. Since 2020, he plays for Avangard.
