Former head coach of the Russian national ice hockey team Vladimir Krikunov in an interview with he said that Russians are treated normally in Latvia.
Krikunov’s last club was Dynamo Riga, where he worked in the 2021/22 season.
– Since you are in Latvia, how is Dynamo Riga doing without the KHL?
“He’s playing in the local league, but I’m not really,” Krikunov told . – I only know that Liepaja is not playing this year. The guys I worked with last season at Dynamo Riga aren’t mainly here, they’ve spread all over Europe.
– Don’t you take offense there? How do the Balts treat the Russians?
– No, everything is fine here, calmly. The same politicians put society to the test. But ordinary people think differently. They understand, because Russia will not go anywhere, and Latvia. Whether you like it or not, you’ll have to live in the neighborhood for as long as the world exists. And what’s the use of arguing?
