After the game, Ovechkin thanked his teammates for a great combined game.
“Shiri put pressure on the opponent and did everything for the goal, I only had to enter the goal. If we talk about the first puck, then Kuzya (Evgeny Kuznetsov) helped me with his transfer,” Ovechkin told The Athletic.
