Roman Rotenberg: ‘SKA players will practice scoring in empty nets in next training session’

SKA Head Coach Romain Rotenberg he was surprised that the hockey players of his team at one of the moments of the game with Salavat Yulaev could not throw the puck into an empty net.

SKA lost on Friday in Ufa against Salavat Yulaev with the score 1:5. In one of the moments, Damir Zhafyarov and Vasily Glotov could not take advantage of the transfer of Arseny Koromyslov into an empty net.

– I was not surprised by the transmission (from behind). Arseniy is a great player with a good skate. He can give such transfers, even if he is just starting his career. I was surprised they didn’t score in an empty net. There are empty doors! You must score in empty nets. Therefore, we will practice scoring in empty nets in the next training session. It all comes down to attitude. If there had been the right attitude, they would have scored in an empty net. Today we could score another 50 goals, the question is in the implementation, – said Rotenberg at a press conference.
