In Canada, the coach prepares the student team of Ukraine for the Universiade
Head coach of the Ukrainian national ice hockey team Vadim Shakhraychuk committed symbolic face-off before the NHL regular season game between Winnipeg and Vancouver (7:4).
Together with the coach, FHU executive director Alexandra Slatvitskaya, eminent Winnipeg striker of the 80s, participant in two NHL All-Star Games Dave Babich and his brother, St. Louis star Wayne Babich, took to the ice.
Recall that now Shakhraychuk is in Canada as the head coach of the student team of Ukraine, which is preparing to participate in the Universiade 2023 in Lake Placid (USA).
The Ukrainian team played three test matches in Canada in which they lost to the University of Saskatchewan (0:2), the University of Calgary (1:3) and the University of Alberta (1:5). On January 10, Ukraine will play against the University of Manitoba.
