Student team of Ukraine (U25) completed Hockey Can’t Stop Tour victory over the team University of Manitoba – 5:1.
Ukrainian hockey players beat a team that is sixth in the Western Conference of the Canadian University Championship. At the same time, Vadim Shakhraichuk’s wards played on the ice of Canada Life Center, the home arena of the Winnipeg Jets NHL club, in the presence of more than ten thousand spectators.
The Ukrainian team was ahead of the final period 4:0 and confidently kept the winning difference. As part of our national team, Mikhail Simchuk scored two goals, a goal + a pass was scored by Denis Matusevich and Gleb Krivoshapkin.
This was the final match of Shakhraichuk’s team in Canada, where the Ukrainian team was preparing to participate in the 2023 Universiade in Lake Placid (USA).
Earlier, the Ukrainian team lost to the University of Saskatchewan (0:2), the University of Calgary (1:3) and the University of Alberta (1:5).
