Former Czech national ice hockey team goalkeeper Dominik Hasek reacted negatively to the invitation of Russian hockey players to participate in the next NHL All-Star Game.
The former hockey player called the league’s position an advertisement for Russia against the background of real events.
“One day the NHL will have to pay for this,” Hasek wrote on the social network.
Six Russians invited to the 2023 All-Star Game: Alexander Ovechkin (Washington), Andrei Svechnikov (Caroline), Igor Shesterkin (New York Rangers), Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay), Kirill Kaprizov (Minnesota) and Vladimir Tarasenko (“Saint Louis “).
The hockey show is scheduled in Florida from February 3-4.
Earlier, Hasek criticized the NHL, WTA and ATP for continuing to allow Russian athletes to participate in tournaments under their auspices.
