Sochi beat Metallurg and broke an anti-record streak in the KHL

“Sochi” won Magnitogorsk “Metallurgist” in the Fonbet game of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) championship.

The meeting took place in Sochi and ended with the score 3:2. Egor Babenko (18th minute), Artem Nikolaev (34th) and Sergey Popov (50th) stood out among the winners. Yaroslav Khabarov (31) and Alexei Maklyukov (39) scored for the guests.

With the win, Sochi broke a KHL-record 21-game losing streak, with the club with 21 points in 11th place in the West. Metallurg (63) is third in the East.

In the next match, Metallurg will travel to Salavat Yulaev of Ufa on January 16, and Sochi will play away with Vityaz near Moscow two days later.
