Albert Shafikov’s team won the fifth victory in a row
Legion from Kalush defeated HC Kyiv in the first match Ukrainian ice hockey championship in 2023.
In the first period, the teams did not reveal the winner – 1:1. In the second 20-minute period, HC Kyiv led 3:2, but Romashchenko and Taran returned the minimal advantage to the Legion.
In the final segment of the game, the Kyiv team bounced back, but an accurate throw by Zakharov seven minutes before the end of the meeting brought victory to the Legion.
The team of Albert Shafikov won the fifth consecutive victory in the championship of Ukraine and takes the fourth place. HC Kyiv closes the standings.
Tomorrow, January 15, the Legion and HC Kyiv will play another head-to-head match. The start is at 14:00.
