The Russian and Belarusian national teams have been suspended from international tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine.
The 2023 World Championship was to be held in St. Petersburg, but the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) deprived Russia of the right to host the tournament. The 2023 World Cup will take place in Tampere (Finland) and Riga.
