Khabarovsk coach “Amur” Vadim Yepanchintsev after the match with St. Petersburg S.K.A. told what his team lacked for a successful performance against the KHL leader.
Amur in St. Petersburg lost to SKA in the regular season match of the Fonbet KHL Championship – 1:3. After this victory, the SKA secured participation in the KHL glue-offs, the Khabarovsk club with 48 points occupying the last place in the Eastern Conference standings.
– On our part, there was not enough freshness and speed in the movements, because of this there were a lot of deletions. We understood that the opponent refreshed 30-40% of the line-up, made us make mistakes, move away.
The disastrous second period, in the third there were three bars. The guys tried. We did everything we could today. But in today’s hockey, that’s not enough. Any loss is not good. We keep fighting every game and try to win. The schedule is tight, the health of some players did not allow them to go out today,” Yepanchintsev said.
