Slovak striker “Montreal” Juraj Slafkowski out of action due to injury for a long time, according to the club’s press service.
According to the Canadians, the 18-year-old hockey player suffered damage to his lower body, the injury will not require surgery. At the same time, Slafkovsky will miss up to three months.
This most likely means the Slovak won’t play again this season – Montreal’s final regular season game is scheduled for April 13, when the team sits 15th in the Eastern Conference and is at risk of not qualifying for the playoffs.
Slafkovsky was selected by Montreal with the first overall pick in the 2022 draft. In the current season, he has played 39 games, scoring 10 (4+6) points with a utility indicator of “-13”.
