The Czechs scored six goals in the third period
Czech won USA (8:4) in the match for third place on ice hockey world championship 2022. The fight took place in Tampere.
The USA won the first period 3:1, but the Americans failed to build on the success. In the second 20-minute period, the Czech Republic reduced the gap to a minimum, and in the third segment of the game, the Czechs scored six goals and got the final victory.
The Czech Republic became the bronze medalist of the world championship for the first time since 2012. The US was third in the World Cup last year.
In the final of the world championship will play Finland and the reigning world champions – Canada. The match will start at 20:20 Kyiv time.
The 2022 World Cup is taking place in Finland. The national teams of Russia and Belarus were suspended from the tournament due to the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine.
