Ukraine beat the Czech Republic and entered the top 6 best hockey teams of the Universiade-2023

Student national ice hockey team of Ukraine (U-25) beat the Czech Republic in the final match of the group stage Universiade in Lake Placid (USA).

It should be noted that Vadim Shakhraychuk’s wards won a strong-willed victory against the motivated Czech Republic and did not let it into the semi-finals of the tournament. The hero of the meeting was Gleb Krivoshapki, who scored 2 goals and 1 assist.

Ukraine scored 7 points in five matches and overtook the Czech Republic in the group table due to a personal meeting. In the final classification, our hockey players were in the top six teams of the tournament.

The awards of the Winter Universiade in Lake Placid will be played by four teams: Canada – Kazakhstan and the USA – Japan.

Recall that the Ukrainian national team lost the chances of qualifying from the group after the defeat by the Japanese team (2:4).
