The press service of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has published the compositions for the next World Championship 2023.
The current world champion team from Finland were in Group A, where Sweden, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, France, Austria, Hungary will be their rivals.
Group B consisted of Canada, USA, Switzerland, Slovakia, Latvia, Norway, Kazakhstan and Slovenia.
Initially, the 2023 World Cup was to be held in St. Petersburg, but in April the IIHF deprived Russia of the right to host it. The tournament has been moved to Latvia and Finland and is scheduled for May 12-28.
The Russian team is not allowed to participate in the tournament.
