Finland win the Ice Hockey World Cup for the fourth time after beating Canada in the 2022 World Cup final

finnish national team defeated the team Canada (4:3 OT) in the last match of the 2022 World Cup held in their country.

The Canadians opened the scoring early in the second period after a power-play shot from Dylan Cozens, but in the third period the Finns responded with two goals from Mikael Granlund within a minute and a half – both goals were also scored on the digital power play. Later, the Finns also scored Yoel Armia.

Canada managed to avoid defeat in regulation time, scoring twice in two minutes before the siren – Zach Whitecloud and Maxime Comtua scored.

Nevertheless, Sakari Manninen set up the winning run for Finland in extra time.
