ESPN filmed a documentary about the Russian forward and Washington Capitals captain Alexandra Ovechkin said American television journalist Kevin Wicks on Twitter.
The hour-long movie titled “GR8TNESS” will premiere on February 4.
In addition to Ovechkin, Pittsburgh Pittsburgh forward Sidney Crosby, Toronto forward Oston Matthews and Russian teammate TJ Oshie participated in the filming.
Ovechkin is a three-time world champion and Stanley Cup winner. The 37-year-old Russian is the second highest scorer in NHL history, 82 goals behind Canadian Wayne Gretzky.
