Russian Goaltender, New York Islanders Ilya Sorokin listed the top three players of the final day of the NHL regular season.
The Russian’s actions helped his team to a dry victory over Detroit (2-0), Sorokin faced the 23 shots on his own goal. The goalkeeper became the third star of the day.
The second star recognized the “New Jersey” striker Jack Hughes he scored twice in a win against Dallas (3:2 OT).
Friday’s Player of the Year has been named Martin Nechas from Carolina. He scored twice against the San Jose, first bringing his team back from the loss with 12 seconds left in regulation, then giving the Hurricanes a 5-4 victory in overtime.
We add that both times Nechas was assisted by a Russian Andrei Svechnikov . It is curious that at the same time the Czech himself did not become the best player of the match – this award went to his partner Sebastian Aho, who also scored twice.
