The Sports and Disciplinary Committee of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) has disqualified the defender of Minsk “Dynamo” John Gilmour for a game for indecent gestures, according to the league’s press office.
The episode took place during Saturday’s match against Torpedo, which ended with the defeat of the Minsk team in a shootout with the score 2:3. In the first half, Gilmour, while on the bench, ran his thumb down his throat and also showed the bench middle finger Torpedo.
– Based on the evidence presented, it was decided to impose a sanction on Dynamo Minsk defender John Gilmour under paragraph 1.32 of article 28 of the KHL disciplinary regulations (obscene, obscene or insulting gestures towards the referee or other person), to disqualify him for a match and subject him to a monetary fine,” the statement read.
In the next game, on January 30, Minskers will host Kunlun on their ice.
