“In mid-February, we will meet with the IOC to fully understand what the conditions it has put forward for the admission of Russians mean. The decisions on the participation of Russia and Belarus in the 2026 Olympic tournament will be taken at the IIHF Congress in April of next year,” said the organization’s president, Luc Tardif.
The IOC announced on January 25 that it would consider the possibility of admitting Russian athletes to world starts in a neutral status.
