President of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) Alexei Morozov said he was sensitive to criticism, noting that the results of his work would be appreciated.
Morozov, a two-time world champion, took over the reins of the KHL in February 2020, replacing Dmitry Chernyshenko.
– Do you also set yourself personal tasks?
– Sure. Tasks range from simple operational to strategic. As I said above, a new document is currently being developed, which will guide the activities of the KHL in the years to come. I lead the work of the Athletes group and actively participate in the work of two other areas. I would like the stages of development that we will propose to the Board of Directors to be verified as much as possible, to have justified calculations. I have set goals for the growth of sporting competition so that even more clubs start the season with the goal of winning the Gagarin Cup. Also, the tasks for the growth of the audience of the KHL: more fans in the stands, more viewers on television screens and more young fans of our game. update: the development of the KHL, MHL, WHL championships, the KHL calendar, special League projects, the development of hockey in the regions where the KHL operates, etc. For example, more than 40 tasks in various areas are monitored every week. So, in short, we must continue to grow in all directions.
– We constantly talk about your independence, the influence of other officials on you. What do you think of such opinions?
– I got used to conversations and criticism, always being a player. I agree with that. I do my thing. We have a plan, we have a strategy, we have a board to which we report. I always adhere to the fact that you must do your job honestly. When the result is positive, people will like it,” Morozov told RB Sport.
The channel and the KHL and KHL Prime specialty channels broadcast live KHL regular season games. Broadcasts of the meetings are also available on the websites sportbox.ru and matchtv.ru.
