In Sunrise (USA, Florida), the stellar weekend of the 2023 NHL All-Star Game has begun.
Captain of the Washington Alexander Ovechkin became the winner of the competition for the most beautiful ball.
The Russian forward shared first place with Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby. The two hockey players played in tandem, and the last pitch was thrown by Ovechkin’s son, Sergei. Ovechkin Jr. set up a ball in the style of Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov. Roberto Luongo, who ended his career, stood in the doorway at the time. They got 40 points for that shootout.
Earlier in the competition for the strength of the throw, Ovechkin became fourth.
