Finland wins 2022 Ice Hockey World Cup

Suomi defeated Canada in the final

national team Finland won the home ice hockey world championship. In the final in Helsinki, Suomi won Canada – 4:3.

After two periods, the Canadians were leading 1-0. The Finns turned the course of the meeting in the third segment of the game, scoring three goals.

At the end of the regular time of the meeting, Canada already made a comeback and bounced back – 3:3. In overtime, Sakari Manninen’s puck brought victory to Suomi.

Finland took revenge on Canada for defeats in last year’s finals of the Ice Hockey World Championship. Then Suomi lost in overtime 2:3.

Finland has become world champion for the fourth time in history. The Finns have previously won the title in 1995, 2011 and 2019.
