National Hockey League commissioner Gary Bettman commented on the position of the former Czech national hockey team goalkeeper Dominik Hasek on the participation of Russian hockey players in the last NHL All-Star Game.
Hasek criticized the league for bringing Russian players to the event.
– I do not think that such an opinion reflects the position of the Czech people or the leadership of the country. By the way, I do not agree with him, — quotes the words of Bettman Ilta-Sanomat.
Nine Russian hockey players were invited to the 2023 All-Star Game, which is a record number.
Earlier, Hasek criticized the NHL, WTA and ATP for continuing to allow Russian athletes to participate in tournaments under their auspices.
