Brodeur started crying: “I can’t see his eyes. What are you talking about? The league said I couldn’t use that visor. It’s you (the goalies) who are always crying,” Ovechkin said, as quoted by washingtonhockeynow.com.
Brodeur spent most of his career with the New Jersey Devils.
On the night of February 5, Ovechkin, as part of the Capital Division team, took part in the NHL All-Star Game. His team lost with a score of 6:10 against the Atlantic Division team in the semifinals, the Russian scored 3 points (1+2).
Ovechkin, 37, is the second-leading scorer in NHL history with 812 goals. The Russian striker is second behind Wayne Gretzky (894).
