The Ministry of Sports of Russia announced on its official website the awarding of the title of master of sports of Russia of international class to hockey players Ivan Fedotov , Alexander Nikishin , Pavel Karnaukhov And Anton Slepichev .
All four members of the Russian team became silver medalists at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
Goaltender Fedotov spent last season at CSKA, winning the Gagarin Cup, after which he signed a contract with Philadelphia and was preparing to continue his NHL career. However, on July 1, he was detained by officers from the Military Registration and Enlistment Office. At the moment, he is doing his military service (1 year) in the Russian Armed Forces.
