The Russian national hockey team (U-17) lost against the team of Belarus (U-20) in the Future Cup tournament in Minsk.
The match ended with the score 1:3. The Russians led the second break after Alexey Dontsov’s puck, but thanks to goals from Vadim Moroz, Daniil Karpovich and Matvey Shidlovsky, the ice hosts took the lead and took the win.
Earlier in the tournament, the Russian team (U-18) beat the Kazakhstan youth team (U-20), scoring nine unanswered goals. Egor Solovyov scored twice for the Russians, seven other players scored once. Goalkeeper Denis Utenkov had a “dry” game.
In the standings, the Belarusian team is in the lead with 4 points; he is followed by the two Russian teams with 2 points each. Kazakhstan closes the table without points. Matches of the 3rd round of the “Future Cup” will be held in Minsk on February 11.
